Yes, you can wear pleats!

This classic skirt is back in full swing. And springtime is one of the best times to experiment wearing pleats. Fabrics are thinner and more lightweight during the season, so you’re less likely to add visual weight to your body frame. This is extremely important for success.

Pleat placement is a key factor too. Since not all pleats are created equal, it’s essential to make sure skirt pleats do not add bulk and instead flatter your figure. I’ve got tips (shown above) to remove any barriers.

Let your pleat skirt be the star attraction in your outfit and pair with a no-frills top. Belts work best with pleated dresses, which were also all the rage down the runway.

Now is the time to rummage through your closet and locate that pleat skirt you bought years ago or, better yet, go for one of the new, fresh designs in delightful color palettes and add it to your Spring Shopping List.

What do you think of the pleated skirt rage? Do you plan to wear any this season? If so, which style is your favorite?
